Well, my goodness, President Trump cannot do anything right, can he?
Today he wasn't strong enough with Pres. Putin, according to some news reporters. Well, if he was his usual self he would have been criticized for being too harsh.
The man had been sitting with Putin for over three hours; as a Businessman, he knows how to size up his competitor. He knows how to respond, and how to handle the situation.
Did he not prove this in dealing with that "ding-dong" in NK?
He is extremely successful in Business, so I do not doubt his ways and means in dealing with the Russian President.
Some news reporters felt he was too soft! What do they know? And why should we trust their opinion anyway?
I always watch for body movements when a person is speaking, and what I saw in President Trump told me he was very uncomfortable with some of the things being said, not only by Putin, but also by himself.
I believe he was trying to be as Politically correct as he can be (which is not much at all), so maybe in forcing the P.C. attitude, it made him seem soft, when in truth it was actually an uncomfortable feeling. And it was good.
Putin, and Russia, are not to be trusted; we have found that out. And they can be quite nasty, and very in-humane; so why instigate a problem? If he had been his usual self, he most probably would have insulted or highly irritated Mr. Putin.
I believe Mr. Trump handled the entire situation (press conference), very well. And now he leaves the details, the intricate and very important details, to the highly trained staff of both Countries.
Why do some feel this to be inappropriate? What I see is a leader giving a situation his personal touch, but leaving the actual battle to the field commanders. Did he not do this to the Middle East? And did it not work out ok?
For President Trump, he walks a very rough walk; most of the time he is damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't. But he plods on; and each and every day he accomplishes something else.
He has promised, and he is keeping his promise.
According to the system set up by those "in the know", he won the election. I don't want to hear that he did not get the popular vote. The little facts that don't deserve headlines by the Media (?), are not seen by most. But there have been states that have found and proven fraudulent voting practices by the Democratic Party. Check New Hampshire for one.
Time for Fox News "The Five". I'm gone for now.
